Exodus

After being plagued by Peter's rants for a few months now, I think GengKST blog needs a face-lift.

Everything's fine for me now at college. Club works are now gone and studies follow suit. I basically have quite a relaxing time till January 2007 as I do not have to re-sit any subjects for AS. Our ScraChess have organised four activities (3 national level activities), therefore we can close the year now. I have many ways to spend the "holiday" but I chose to work, work and work to gain money. I pick up any college jobs as I go along. Library helpers, computer lab helper, resident leader, tuition teacher...I work as long as I get paid. I can still pick up any job as long as the wage is above RM5 per hour.

But I no longer have a good chat with Peter, Patrick, Yin Ling, Daphne, Nooi Hoay and Kee Huong. That leaves only Yin Nin and Yee Leng. Everyone's busy with college, I know....but I am becoming sad when i remembered my post here about a year ago, which I doubt many will remember.

The post about tests of friendship to see if we can cope. We are now at first stage, Pre-University Test. However, we no longer communicate with each other (or maybe I am the sad one out), which makes me think if we actually survive this one. Well, most of us are still in Malaysia and we can row, row row-a-boat to Indonesia if we need to look for Peter. So we can reach each other through handphone. However, if the foundation here is weak, I doubt that we will make it past university level.

Peter will be in Indonesia.
I will be in UK.
Yin Nin will be in Germany.
Yin Ling will be in Penang/Ireland.
Patrick will be in UK (but a different corner than mine).
Yee Leng will be in Malaysia, perhaps.
Kee Huong will be in Malaysia.
Daphne will be in Australia.

If this trend continues, our friendship will break off before we know it.

In this semester, I learnt that friendship is about sharing problems and also good news. And standing out for each other. Of course I knew them theoretically before that, but it is actually in this semester that I can actually experience.

Well, forgive me if you think I am stalling, I am not in a sane state of mind nowadays. Darn lonely and well, lonely. Was on the verge of depression, but manage to save myself somehow.

Lastly, all the best to Daphne in her upcoming exam, which should be close by now, Peter in his new home, Yee Leng in her SPM-revisited but on a much higher level and others who will face the war next year such as me.
