Hahah the bapeky Peter fell for my joke!
I bet he must've fell on his knees and said........Oh God......why let Patrick get Cambridge! Why? Why not me?
Peter definitely suffers from extreme kiasuism.
Oh, and if you wanna come and bash me, sure. Let's see if you can find your way here.
Oh Albert, you don't have to care about what others think about what others say.
"For everthing has a reason."

JPA, PSD or whatever name you call it...
The JPA craze is back in town, this time with a bigger momentum. Multitudes of top students will make a run for their money. It's becoming such a normal phenomenon in our country.
This year around, the competition will be times stiffer. With over 15000 applications, not-to-mention at 8000 worthy entries, JPA officers ought to be given a raise for being able to handle this. However, once again, there will be mess later.
Many students (juniors) have been asking me the same stupid question "Did you go for JPA Interview last year?" I will answer abruptly "No". I guess something in my voice must have told them to shut their mouth up, because none of them asked me further questions except this one:
X : Did you go for JPA Interview last year?
Me : No.
X : Wow, no interview? JPA scholarship not good enough is it?
I did not reply him. He's of course, another top student and all.
I guess all these brings me back to my old days, when I am filled with hatred in my soul towards JPA. To tell the truth, I have not get over the JPA failure, especially when I am not given a justified explanation. But yes, who owes me a scholarship? No one. Now, many will be following my path and I hope that the number is not big, though it is quite unlikely.
If any of your juniors or friends did not get any scholarship from JPA, please remind them not to be too sad. Someone has to win the race, and if it's not him/her, it must be because there are other races for them to win. They have to back off from the car, took another one and start the new race. Then, stand tall.
People getting into Cambridge, students getting 13A1s, 14A1s, seniors scoring straight As in CAL Exam, Randal got chosen as the Apprentice...all these sometimes made me think, am I not good enough to be in that position? Don't I have the same discerning ability as them? They don't have paranormal abilities; they are just human beings like you and me. Or is it because I have wasted all my childhood playing and enjoying while others packed themselves with classes after classes of music, taekwondo, band, tuition and others? Or maybe it's just because it's not my turn yet. Same goes to others. It's not your turn yet.
An anecdote: An adventurer once challenges all his partners that he will climb the highest mountain ever found by mankind. No man has ever reach the peak before. Therefore, he climbed and climbed. However, he too experienced difficulties as he can't advance any further although he tried very hard to do so. Then, as he is too depressed because of his failure, he committed suicide there. The truth is that he has reached a point that no man has ever reached, though it's not the peak. He has set a new mark. However, being too distressed because he couldnt reach the peak, he took his own life.
If I think I am a failure, think again. I am in a much better position than many others.
Albert
PS: By the way, congrats, Patrick. SO your rants at the beginning of the course that it's hard to enter Cambridge pay off. I can only apply for UCL or Newcastle, no Oxbridge for me.

sno goes penang
so, I took part in this competition called ExploRace organised by USM language faculty. It does not test me on any of my physical endurance or abilities, fortunately. it's about completing four tasks that has to do with Germany n German n Germans with another four coursemates. now we have made it to the final round n wil b going to USM tomolo. we ll be there for three days n hopefully wil get to go sightseeing in penang-that referring to the beaches n some night spots:D
so. ur fren has organised an inter program scrabble competition, albert. i am not joining tho for reasons known to both of us. i suck at it. theres also other inter prog comps but none that gives me any chance to show off my abilities, not really the fault of the organisers, more of my fault since i was born without any special talents, i only have my mom to blame. XD
so i tried to lose weight. actually lost 2kg in 2 weeks but for reasons unknown to myself. i got fat again n is trying to make myself go run at the moment. i hope it will happen soon becoz the sun is going down n i don dare to run in the dark.
so i will post up some pics after the penang trip

Jia You
em.. as everyone knows, 13 of March would be the SPM results released day while 16 of March would the STPM results released day..
wish my brother and my fellow seniors get good result!
262 days left to the coming STPM 06! o.O
*I've put a countdown bar to STPM in my blog...*
sigh.. next Wednesday would be the first day of the monthly test.
I'm going to sit the exam of PA1, PA2, Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2 on the 1st day which last for 1 hour each.
On the 2nd day, I have Biology and Math T tests! Each paper lasts 2 hours....
On the 3rd day, the last day, there is only the MUET test... !!!!
MUET, I have nothing to read about it (summary and some objective questions).. while Biology and Math ... @@
so, that means, I may have to study the whole night on Tuesday (28/1) and on Wednesday (1/3) for the first day and second day's tests respectively; and I could sleep the whole day right after back from school on Thursday??
haha... haha... haha!
(ok, I'm doing the last minute work again..)
oh.. well, why is the arrangement of tests so weird?
Light dependent reaction, light independent reaction (calvin cycle), Hatch-Slack pathway, CAM pathway........what are these? haha.. they are the 'cycles' of reactions involved in photosynthesis!
sigh.. my brain is now crammed with all these stuffs....
well, I have "low memory power" and am forgetful... it's hard to memorize all the sequence, the mechanisms.....
there are lots more to study, respirations itself consists of cycles too....
Since two days ago, you could see how hardworking were my classmates...
It's so silent even when teachers were not around!
All of us were trying hard to study and memorize, it's a good sign to see us being so hardworking huh? hehe
We were so playful when the test was still far away, always chat in class when there was a free period... ah...
gambateh to all of us~ oo... continue to study...
Gambateh to all of the members of geng KST too!
run for your life~!

In the election, I finished sixth and I advanced to the final stage of the selection process - interview to determine my post. My desired post is President.
Hope to see others as well.
PS: Btw, Yin Nin, I met your friend, Adi Aizat during the MC-IIUM Chess Competition. Just FYI, he mentioned that you are short (hehe, just some provocative jokes).

Good Start, Bad "Karma"
The beginning of Semester 2 was less hectic than I expected. However, there are more changes than I ever anticipate.
Firstly, I continued in Rotaract and Card and Board Games Club. Anyway, I am in the brink of quitting Music Club. The persuasive and dedicated president pulled me in again but I realised that my interest was no longer there. It will now depend in the Student Council to see if I will stay or quit. Next, Investment Club, in which I attended the meeting last month, did not look optimistic this year. The president wants me to take over the club but that club isn't helping me in applying for university. Therefore, I may quit this club and join Maths and Physics Club instead, which is currently "very inactive".
In terms of studies, I do think I am in control. Recent class test results are rather positive as I am controlling my activities well. However, the story may change when I got busy if I were to be elected into the student council.
Student council election in TCSJ is tainted with popularity but the new system is said to "clean up the mess". It will merge both interview and election together. I will be contesting for presidency and that is even harder.
Anyway, not in a very conducive mood to pen now. Catch you all later.
Albert
PS: I can still try to meet you all if there's one meeting.

Ushering In 2006
Inspired by Lilo, I posted this entry to our co-owned blog.
Ushering in year 2006,
More challenges await,
Be brave and be tough,
And you'll be fine.
No rhyming. No specific number of syllables in each line. Just a show-off of pure freedom.
Join in the fun, folks.
Happy New Year

you tell me things willl get easier every day.
Yesterday I sat next to you in the dark theatre, our legs barely touching. You murmured comments into my ear that I couldn't help but laugh at. We did the same a few months ago.
Yesterday I saw you as before. You see, what I felt for you, I still do. I watch you with the other girls. And I let you go. A new hair cut, a new lifestyle. Nothing has changed.
Yesterday I sat next to you in the dark theatre, our legs barely touching. It whetted my apetite for more.

Awaiting...
I am embracing myself for a shocking change in a friend's blog. The change, I foresee, is a positive transformation. I have been expecting the best from this friend (not going to use a pronoun so the gender will not be disclosed). Hope that I will not be let down this time. By the way, my instinct tells me that should this post be read by that friend, he/she will soon know I am talking about him/her. My sixth sense is rarely inaccurate.
Note: This post is quite abstract I know. But sometimes it is best to keep the crucial details until the very last minute.

Malaysia 1 Ringgit Coin
hey friends, have you finished using all the RM 1 coin?
http://www.bnm.gov.my/index.php?ch=8&pg=14&ac=1089
Bank Negara Malaysia would like to remind members of the public that the RM1 coin will cease to be legal tender effective from 7 December 2005.
hehe.. this is just a small reminder to remind all to use the coin as fast as possibley by 6th December oh...but if we want to keep some coins for collection also not bad huh~since each coin just cost RM1 haha

Open and Honest
Why can't people be more open and honest when dealing with relationship? Even an often-considered-trivial relationship must be treasured. By saying so, I am talking about friendship and ties of family members. Usually, in their attempts to please their special someone, people tend to forget about those who have been by their sides all this while.
Pardon me for whining in this post. I long to have a night when all members of KST gang come together again. Is that possible?
By the way, the 1st and 2nd paragraph are actually not related at all...
All my scattered ideas are pouring out. I can't help it. I need to be heard.
